A Yogini's Journey to Become a Bikram Yoga Teacher...

Happy Guy Fawkes Day.

It's Bonfire Night. Let's build us a big bonfire and throw some unreasonable view points on the sexes, gays, AIDS and artists in it.

It's a new moon today. How about we burn some sage (as I like to do at the start of a new cycle) and start over with some perspective on what our key audience is?

  1. Sounds like someone's been taking you all for a ride...

One comment. Before you all decide that someone is a raging homophobe and go after him with torches, you might want to notice how many of his favorite senior teachers and staff members are, or have been, openly gay. (I say "have been" because a couple have passed away in the past year.)

New cycle sounds good. :) You're about to be a TEACHER!!

  2. No... We get that he is trying to push our buttons. And we fully recognize that his "audience" is made up of the three main things that were getting railed against. And we fully accept that this is an exercise in blocking out the "shit-noise" and focusing on our inner dialogue.

But it all still really pisses us off.

  3. Yeah, well, that's healthy enough too. I spent a good solid week hating his guts at one point and had to be talked down off the ledge (before I got to training). Sometimes it's like that...

But hey, it's the weekend. :)
